After starting his career as a photography agent, Jonathan became a much coveted fashion industry expert. His expertise eventually landed him the role of judge on Britain's Next Top Model for three seasons, and this paved the way for what has since been a successful TV career. Following his departure from the show, Jonathan became a presenter and mentor on the ground-breaking reality show Britain's Missing Top Model, which followed eight women with disabilities competing for a modeling contract. The show won critical acclaim, as well as the RADAR Media Award for Best Factual Programming in 2008.
Following his 30 years career in the fashion industry, Jonathan has now dedicated himself to his true love – food! Born into a Chinese-Caribbean household, Jonathan grew up with food that were full of spices and intense flavors. His heritage became the inspiration of his cooking show Jonathan Phang’s Caribbean Cookbook, in which he explored the global influences of the region’s cooking, as well as his bestselling cookbook, The Pepperpot Club: a Celebration of Caribbean Cuisine. Subsequently, he hosted Jonathan Phang’s Gourmet Trains, which followed his opulent gastronomic journey around the world on some of the most luxurious trains.
Jonathan currently lives in London.
