Ingredients

  • 500 grams flour
  • 600 millilitres water
  • 2 eggs
  • 120 grams sugar
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 20 grams melted butter
  • 20 grams milk powder
  • Topping:
  • Sweet Condensed Milk
  • Sugar
  • Chocolate sprinkle
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Ground Peanuts (optional)
  • Butter

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients together.
  2. Rest for 1 hour.
  3. Fry in thick frying pan until it’s bubbling, sprinkle some sugar and close with lid until fully cooked. (makes 4 small pan or 2 big frying pan).
  4. Place in cutting board, brush the martabak with butter, sprinkle toppings, cut and serve.
  5. Enjoy when it’s hot.
