  • 10 Pandan Leaves
  • 1 cup Water
  • 50 grams All-Purpose Flour
  • 500 grams Glutinous Rice Flour
  • 500 grams Gula Melaka
  • 2 cups desiccated Coconut
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  1. Blend pandan with water and pass through a fine sieve, ensure no fibres pass through
  2. Whisk flours together
  3. Add pandan water to flour bit by bit, and mix until a ball forms. It won’t be sticky and has a smooth surface
  4. Dice gula melaka in 1 centimetre cubes
  5. Pinch a thumb-sized dough ball, and flatten. Add a cube of gula melaka to the centre, and roll into a ball between both palms
  6. Once all the dough has been used up, add to boiling water and cook until they each dough ball floats. Set aside to dry
  7. Add some salt to the desiccated coconut
  8. Carefully roll the cooked dough balls in desiccated coconut until covered. Serve
