Sweet Banana Balls (Chokodok)

  • 250 grams very ripe local bananas (the brown ones)
  • 250 grams ripe bananas
  • 1 cup self raising flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • Sea salt
  • 2 cups of cooking oil


  1. Chop up ripe banana and mash very rip bananas and set a side.
  2. In a big mixing bowl, add in flour, sugar, a pinch of salt and water, bit by bit and mix well, then add in chopped bananas and set a side.
  3. In a pan, add in oil and heat up oil on medium heat, using a spoon, dip spoon in oil to coat spoon and scoop one table spoon mixture and drop into the oil and fry until brown, repeat but don't overcrowd the pan.
  4. Fry until brown and remove to drain oil.
