Synopsis

This season, Anthony Bourdain, takes viewers to 20 new destinations that will surprise and defy his expectations -for better or for worse. Bourdain will challenge his taste buds and immerse himself in local culture. From America to South East Asia, Bourdain will treat viewers to a food filled journey like no other, but as usual, Bourdain will bring his intellectual curiosity, empathy, wit and a boundless appetite to every location he visits.

Anthony Bourdain was born on June 25, 1956. After his article “Don’t Read Before Eating This” appeared in The New Yorker in 1997, Bourdain moved from one high-profile culinary project to the next, including TV shows A Cook’s Tour and Anthony Bourdain: No Reservation . He has also written several books, including K itchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly . Bourdain’s mom was a copy editor and his dad, a music executive.
