    Silvia Colloca is an Italian-born chef who currently lives in Sydney, Australia. She was born in Milan and moved to Australia in 2004 to pursue her career as an actress.

    Silvia started her blog Silvia Cucina in 2010 as a hobby during her maternity leave. With no formal cooking training, Silvia picked up her culinary skills from her mother and grandmother while growing up. She absorbed much of their Italian culinary heritage and overtime developed her love and passion for Italian cooking. She believes in cooking traditional, authentic and simple food from the heart!

    Silvia is no stranger to the entertainment industry; her first major film role was in Van Helsing, in which she played Verona, one of Dracula's brides. In 2014, Silvia revealed her culinary secrets on Made in Italy with Silvia Colloca. Made in Italy was Silvia’s first cooking television series, where she takes a tour around three picturesque regions of Italy; Abruzzo, Le Marche and Molise. The show features authentic Italian cuisine that are made with local produce.

    Silvia is married to Australian actor Richard Roxburgh, and together, they have two sons, Raphael Jack Domenico Roxburgh and Miro Roxburgh. She firmly believes in passing on her love for her Italian culture to her children by involving them in her shows and cooking.
