Mary Berry is a renowned British baker and cookbook writer. Having published over 70 cookbooks in her career, she is easily one of the most recognised baker in the industry.

Mary’s culinary inspiration is her mother, who first taught her how to bake. When she realised her passion for baking, she enrolled into Le Cordon Bleu. After receiving training from the best chef instructors around the world, she returned to Britain and worked as a cookery editor at Housewife Magazine and Ideal Home Magazine. Her career took off when her first television series, Afternoon Plus, became a hit in Britain. Thereafter, Mary started hosting a series of cooking shows and producing popular cookbooks.

Mary’s passion for baking and cooking has extended to her very own salad dressing line, Mary Berry’s Salad Dressing, which was introduced in the mid 90’s. It remains to be one of Britain’s favourites to date. Mary had also started a cookery school at home, named Aga Workshops, which has taught over 12 thousand visitors since it opened. Years of hard work has earned her several awards, including “Lifetime Achievement Award” from Guild of Food Writers. In 2012, her expertise and contribution to the culinary world was recognised by the Queen of England, earning her the title Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE).

On top of her cook shows, Mary has also appeared as guest on many programs and judge of The Great Britain Bake Off, an award winning British television baking competition.
