Ingredients
  • 4 avocados
  • 4 Tbsp gula melaka (palm sugar)
  • 300 ml milk
  • 150 g ice
  • ¼ cup water
  • 50 g walnuts
Method

Toast and crush walnuts

In a pan on medium heat, toast walnuts for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove and let cool. Once cooled, crush with the flat of a knife or a rolling pin. Set aside.


Prepare avocado and melt gula melaka

Prepare avocado and melt gula melaka

Cut avocados in half, then deseed and scoop out flesh. Set aside.

In a pan on medium heat, melt gula melaka with ¼ cup water, stirring constantly. When fully melted into a syrup, set aside to cool.


Blend smoothie

Blend smoothie

In a blender, add avocado, ice, milk, and melted gula melaka. Blend for 2 minutes, or until desired consistency.


Garnish and serve

Pour into a tall glass and top with crushed walnuts.
