Thai Bananas in Coconut Milk

- Bananas provide a variety of vitamins and minerals like vitamin C, vitamin B6, potassium and fiber
- Some research shows that consuming bananas regularly can help lower the risk of heart attacks
- 2 bananas, peeled and sliced into thick rounds
- 180 ml coconut milk
- 1 Tbsp + 1 tsp white sesame seeds
- 90 g white sugar
- 120 ml water
- ½ tsp salt
Melt sugar in water
In a pot on medium heat, mix sugar and water for 5 minutes, until sugar dissolves.
Add sliced bananas
To the same pot, add sliced bananas and simmer for 10 minutes, until the bananas have turned slightly translucent and most of the liquid has evaporated.
Remove the bananas from the pot and spoon into serving bowls.
Make coconut milk sauce
In the same pan, add coconut milk, ½ tsp salt and sesame seeds. Bring to boil and remove from heat.
Garnish and serve
Drizzle coconut milk sauce over bananas and garnish with white sesame seeds. Serve hot.
