Deep-fried banana fritter balls
Also known as ‘jemput jemput pisang’, these deep-fried banana fritter balls are a sweet treat!
Let's start cooking!
Step 1 - Mix banana batter
- In a mixing bowl, add mashed banana, plain flour, rice flour, 2 tbsp sugar, ½ tsp baking soda and ½ tsp salt and mix well.
For best results, use overripe bananas, as they are sweeter.
- In the same bowl, fold in diced banana.
Step 2 - Fry banana balls
- In a pot on medium heat, fill ½ the pot with vegetable oil.
- Using Two metal spoons, scoop 1 heaped tbsp of batter, and drop into the hot oil. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until golden brown. Leave to drain on paper towels and repeat with remaining batter.
Plate and serve!
Transfer cekodok pisang into serving plate or dish and serve hot!
