Matcha Agar Agar
with Red Bean
This quick and easy no-bake recipe is a Japanese take on a classic dessert!
Let's start cooking!
Step 1 - Mix agar-agar powder and water
- In a small pot, mix agar-agar powder and water. Bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes.
Step 2 - Add matcha powder, milk and sugar
- To the same pot, add in matcha powder, milk and sugar for 2 minutes until sugar dissolves.
Step 3 - Pour mixture into mold
- Transfer to a square dish or mold of your choice and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, until set and firm.
Step 4 - Remove bubbles on surface
- To remove the bubbles, lightly torch the surface of the mixture with a blow torch.
Plate and serve!
Remove matcha agar agar from mould and slice into desired shape. Spoon red bean paste over and serve cold.
