5 Minute Chicken
Try this quick and easy chicken recipe by Bruce Lim from Tablescapes.

  • Yield 4 servings
  • 1 Whole Chicken
  • 1 cup Vinegar (distilled white)
  • 1 cup Soy sauce
  • 1 head Garlic (Chopped)
  • 1 Red onion (Chopped)
  • 1 inch Ginger (Chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cracked Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Sea salt
  1. Clean chicken under running potable water. In the center cavity of the chicken add soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, onions, sugar, salt and pepper This will act like an inside marination and whatever remains of liquid rub all over the body of the chicken
  2. Once the chicken is stuffed stick a large bamboo spit through it and secure it with wire so that it will not move
  3. While that is marinating make sure that you have a can with the top cut out ready. Stick the chicken in the ground cover with can, cover the can with dried grass. Set the grass on fire and once the fire is out the chicken is cooked
