  • Cabbage Rolls
  • 4 Cabbage leaves
  • 200 grams mince Meat (ground beef and pork together)
  • 1 middle Onion (200g)
  • 3 tablespoons Breadcrumbs
  • A pinch of Salt and Pepper
  • 1 Egg
  • 30 grams dried Bonito
  • 1 Kelp (8cm)
  • Miso Soup of Tofu and Seaweed for 2 serving
  • 100 grams Momen tofu
  • 2 tablespoons Miso
  • 2 Consommé cubes
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • Garnish
  • Seaweed
  • Green spring onion
  1. To prepare the cabbage, remove the center core of the cabbage with a knife
  2. Mince the onion and stir fry till soft
  3. In a pot of water, heat dried bonito and kelp and remove just before the water reaches boil. Take the kelp and dried bonito out, strain and set aside
  4. In a bowl, soak the seaweed in water
  5. Mix the minced meat with salt and pepper in a bowl. Add the egg, breadcrumbs, and onions and and mix well. After kneading the mixture, add kelp and dried bonito in
  6. Put the mixture on a piece of cabbage and roll it Repeat with 3 other cabbage leaves. Put in a pot and add consommé, water, bay leaf and boil the cabbage rolls
  7. Once soup is brought to boil, add tofu and miso Garnish with seaweed and green spring onion
  8. Put cabbage rolls on a plate. Serve with miso soup and rice
