  • 1 whole Broiler Chicken
  • 1 bowl Bird nest
  • 3 pieces Ham
  • 1 piece Mushrooms
  • 1 piece Chinese Broccoli
  • 1+½ teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons Chicken powder
  • 2 slices Carrot
  1. Slice the neck of the chicken to debone it. Insert a toothpick at the tail
  2. Prior to cooking this dish, soak the dried bird nest in cold water for 7-8 hours, then wash it After which, soak in hot water for 2-3 hours and change the hot water. When the water becomes lukewarm, place it in the fridge overnight
  3. Stuff the bird nest into the chicken and tie a knot with the head
  4. Run the chicken through with boiling water a few times to get rid of the chicken smell and shape the chicken. After which, place the chicken in a bowl together with the ham, mushroom, Chinese brocoli and carrots
  5. To boiling water, add the chicken powder and salt (depending on how salty you want). Pour the soup into the bowl containing the chicken
  6. Place this into the steamer for 1 1/2 hours
  7. Take the toothpick out
