  • 1 cup Rice
  • 1 litre Water
  • 150 grams Chicken, minced
  • 4 dried Shiitake mushroom soaked in some hot water
  • 2 centimetres Ginger
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tablespoons caramelized Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Corn flour
  • White pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 Spring onion, chopped
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  1. In a pot, add in washed rice, 1 centimetre sliced ginger and 4 cups of water and bring to a boil until rice becomes porridge
  2. In a bowl, add in minced chicken, caramelized soy sauce, light soy sauce, grated ginger, chopped up garlic, corn flour and mix well with a dash of water
  3. In a pan, add in some oil and add sliced dried mushrooms and also the marinated chicken mince and stir fry for about 5 - 7 minutes until cooked
  4. In a bowl, add in rice porridge and top up with cooked chicken and stir fried mushrooms. Drizzle with sesame oil topped with chopped spring onions
