Chocolate Dessert Sandwiches

  • Yield 3 servings
  • 100 grams dark Chocolate (60% cocoa)
  • ¾ cup Heavy cream (enough to just cover chocolate in bowl)
  • 6 slices Brioche bread (or sweet bread, thick cut)
  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • 8-10 Strawberries or other fruit
  • 4 teaspoons Sugar (to taste)
  1. Heat cream in a small pan to just boiled
  2. Break up chocolate in a bowl, add sugar and hot cream
  3. Mix until combined, chill in fridge until solid
  4. Spread butter onto 1 side of 2 slices of bread
  5. Spread chocolate onto other side of 1 slice.
  6. Make a sandwich with butter sides out
  7. Heat a pan with butter on gentle heat, add sandwich and brown on both sides, chocolate should soften
  8. Cut sandwich in half and serve with strawberries on side
