  • For the Crispy Caramelised Bananas:
  • 1 banana, thinly sliced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) sugar
  • For the Cookies:
  • 1 cup (250 ml) peanut butter
  • ½ cup (125 ml) honey
  • 1 cup (250 ml) flour
  • 1 cup (250 ml) chocolate, roughly chopped

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

  1. For the Bananas:
  2. Mix the slices in a bowl. Squeeze the lemon juice on them to ensure they don’t brown.
  3. On a baking tray covered with parchment paper, brush 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of melted butter.
  4. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of sugar and lay out the banana slices.
  5. Brush the slices with remaining butter and sprinkle with remaining sugar.
  6. Bake for about 1/2 hour until the bananas are golden brown. Set aside.
  1. For the Cookies:
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the peanut butter and honey.
  3. Mix in the flour, then the caramelised bananas and chocolate.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Drop tablespoon sized clusters on the baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Note: For dog cookies, omit the banana chips and chocolate.
