Try this quick and easy fried beetle recipe by Bruce Lim from Tablescapes.

  • Cooking Time 15 minutes
  • Yield 4 servings
  • ½ kilogram Beetle
  • 3 tablespoons Oil
  • 4 cloves of Garlic (crushed)
  • 2 Tomatoes (sliced)
  1. In a large pot, add the beetle to boiling salted water and cook for 3 minutes
  2. Remove from water and drain off any excess water
  3. In a separate pan, add oil and sauté the garlic and tomatoes for 3 minutes. Toss in the beetles and stir fry for 1 minute
  4. Serve straight away
