Matcha Tiramisu
Try this quick and easy no-bake green tea recipe by Sarah Benjamin from Yummy Desserts.

  • 5 tablespoons Matcha powder + extra for garnish
  • 360 millilitres Hot water
  • 4 Eggs, separated
  • 1 packet (250g) Lady fingers biscuits
  • 250 grams Mascarpone cheese
  • 1-2 tablespoon Caster sugar + 80g
  • 300 millilitres Whipping cream, whisked till slightly fluffy
  1. Mix 4 tablespoons of the matcha powder with hot water and 2 tablespoons of caster sugar and stir to dissolve. Let it cool
  2. Mix 1 tablespoon of matcha with a little hot water to make a paste
  3. Whisk the egg yolks with 80g sugar until fluffy, then mix with the mascarpone, green tea paste and whipped cream
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form then gently fold into the egg yolk and mascarpone mixture
  5. Whisk the mascarpone until fluffy with half the icing sugar
  6. Now assemble the tiramisu by dipping the lady finger biscuits into the matcha liquid and place in a dish. Top with the matcha cream. Repeat
  7. Chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours
  8. Before serving, dust the top with matcha powder
