  • 100 grams All-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 125 millilitres Water
  • 1 Egg
  • 20 grams Onion
  • 60 grams Round cabbage, shredded
  • 4 Large prawns - each prawns quartered
  • 3 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 stalk Spring onions, chopped
  • Kewpie Mayonnaise
  • Okonomiyaki Sauce
  • Katsuobushi
  1. Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a mixing bowl.
  2. Gradually whisk in the water, followed by the egg to form the batter.
  3. In a pan of heated oil, scoop in a ladle of batter and spread it into an even layer.
  4. On top of the batter, put in prawn, cabbage, onions and spring onions, followed by one more ladle of batter to blanket the filling. Let it cook for 4 minutes.
  5. Flip over the okonomiyaki and cook for another 4 minutes or until firm and well browned.
  6. Transfer okonomiyaki to a plate and drizzle with okonomiyaki sauce, Kewpie mayonnaise and Katsuobushi before serving.
