Savory Beef Martabak
Crispy and golden brown pancakes filled with beef by Marinka from At Home with Marinka

Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • ½ onion, diced
  • 2 garlic, chopped
  • 2 shallots, chopped
  • 1 spring onion
  • 1 potato, diced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon corriander
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • &frac116; teaspoons pepper (a pinch)
  • 100 grams minced beef
  • 2 Eggs
  • 7 Spring roll sheets
  • Sauce:
  • 1 chili padi, chopped
  • 1 garlic, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • 2 shallots, diced
  • 50 milliliters water
  • Salt, to taste
Method
  1. To make the filling, pour oil into a pan
  2. Sauté onion until fragrant
  3. Add garlic and shallots
  4. Add potato
  5. Mix it together and cook until it’s soft
  6. Add cumin, corriander, salt, and pepper
  7. When the potato is fully cooked, add minced beef. Cook it until the color changes
  8. Add spring onion, let it cool
  9. Put the mixture in a bowl
  10. Add eggs and mix it
  11. Put 1 tbs of the mixture onto a spring roll sheet
  12. Wrapped it with egg wash. Repeat with other sheets.
  13. Fry it
  14. Serve it with the sauce
