Shibuya Matcha Toast

  • Yield 2 servings
  • 4 thick slices of Soft white bread
  • 6 tablespoons Butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Matcha powder
  • 150 millilitres Condensed milk
  • 20 millilitres Hot water
  • 2 scoops Green tea ice cream
  • Whipped cream, to garnish
  • Chopped Almonds, to garnish
  1. Dissolve the matcha powder in the hot water, to form a paste. Pour the matcha paste into a saucepan with the condensed milk, whisk together and warm up. Set aside
  2. Generously brush both sides of each slice of toast with melted butter. In a frying pan over medium heat, toast both sides of the bread until golden brown and crispy
  3. Layer two slices of toast on a plate, then drizzle the matcha syrup on top. Follow that with a scoop of green tea ice cream, and some whipped cream. Sprinkle some chopped almonds to finish, and serve
