  • 30 grams Ginger, shredded
  • Salt, to taste
  • A handful of Basil leaves
  • ½ Chicken, cut into bite size pieces
  • 2 tablespoons Light soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Corn starch
  1. In a separate bowl, mix the chicken with soy sauce, pepper and corn starch, season with salt. Leave to marinate for about 30 minutes
  2. In a casserole pot, place the shredded ginger on the bottom of the pot and sprinkle salt over. Then spread the basil leaves on top of the ginger
  3. Then, place the marinated chicken on top of basil
  4. Cover the pot, steam the chicken until tender either in a wok or use the steam function on the cubie oven. The steam locked in will cook the chicken
  5. Once cooked, serve hot with rice
