Waffles & Hot Chocolate

Ingredients
  • 400 millilitres wheat Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla powder
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 125 grams Butter
  • 200 millilitres Milk
  • 250 millilitres Soda water
  • 200 millilitres Cloudberries
  • 50 millilitres Syrup
  • For Hot Chocolate:
  • 800 millilitres Milk
  • 100 grams dark Chocolate
  • 50 grams Milk chocolate
  • ½ teaspoon ground Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground Cardamom
  • ½ teaspoon ground Ginger
Method
  1. Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Melt the butter and allow cooling down. Add the melted butter to the dry ingredients and then the milk and the soda water
  2. Whisk until the batter has a smooth texture
  3. Heat up a waffle iron and brush it lightly with butter. Cover the bare of the waffle iron with batter and close the lid. Bake the waffles until golden and crisp, approx. 3 minutes
  4. Combine the syrup and cloudberries in a bowl and serve with the waffles
  5. Serve with whipped cream and cloudberries
  6. For hot chocolate, combine all ingredients in a pot and gently heat while stirring with a whist or spoon
  7. Serve with whipped cream and grated chocolate
