Ingredients
  • 1 medium zucchini, grated
  • 1 medium onion, peeled, cut in half and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 teaspoon dried pomegranate seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom seeds
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 cup chickpea flour
  • 2 tablespoons yogurt
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 cups vegetable oil, for frying
Method
  1. Heat oil to 350°F in a deep, heavy pot
  2. Place all ingredients into a large bowl and mix well
  3. Form mixture into golf ball-sized balls and fry in preheated oil until golden brown, about 5 - 6 minutes
  4. Drain on paper towels prior to serving
